Read Across America 2/27-3/2

"Read Across America" Spirit Week
Monday, Feb. 27-Friday, Mar. 2

March 2 is the National Education Association's Read Across America Day.  Walden elementary students will be celebrating with an extended tribute to reading, including an assembly the week before, on Feb. 23, and a themed spirit week 2/27-3/2:

Monday - Dress-up like your favorite book character

Tuesday - Crazy sock day

Wednesday - Crazy hat day

Thursday - Pajama and read-a-thon day

Friday - Dr. Suess' Birthday and Go Green (Eggs and Ham) day

Inspirations Regional Help Needed

Our Inspirations Art Program had a nice turn out with submissions from students in all grades. Our school winners will be determined this week.  We are also co-hosting the Regional Competition for this year.  The Regional Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 3rd from 4-6 pm at Lincoln Academy in Pleasant Grove.

We would appreciate any help you may offer to set up or clean up that evening.  We will need at least 4 volunteers to fill our requirements; please contact Jessica Connors (801.787.8279 or jess_connors@q.com) if you are able to help with

• SET UP from 3-4 PM (2 volunteers needed)
• CLEAN UP from 6-7 PM (2 volunteers needed)
